Brody is a calligrapher and text artist working in a wide range of media, from paper, canvas and textiles to glass, metal, human skin, film, performance and - ceramics. His work explores the boundaries of legibility and letter form, constantly searching for what makes a letter a letter. He composes many of his own texts as a spontaneous part of the creative process.

Brody and Veerle began their collaboration in 2017 with a series of large vessels turned by V and inscribed in cobalt blue by B.

Brody is currently working on a three-part documentary on the history and future of writing for Arte and the BBC, to be broadcast in the autumn of 2020.
